Frequently Asked Questions
Waxing
-
How long will my wax last?
Waxing should last anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

-
Can I wax on my period?
Of course! We just ask you use feminine products that you insert to keep everything clean, as well as make a pit stop in the bathroom beforehand.

-
How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?
Hair length needs to be about as long as a grain of rice, or about a 4 week grow out time.

-
Does waxing make the hair grow back darker/thicker?
Nope! Hair color and texture doesn't change with waxing.

-
What is pin point bleeding?
Pin point bleeding is when the pore itself fills up with blood. The blood isn't enough to actually spill over onto the skin, but this means the hair follicle was killed and hair wont grow in that follicle anymore.

-
Can I wax while pregnant?
Yes! If you're at the point in your pregnancy that you can no longer lay flat, inform your esthetician and they will accommodate you.

-
What should I avoid after waxing?
You should refrain from swimming, tanning, heavy exercise, or sexual activity. Doing these things can cause a bacteria build up and may cause breakouts.

-
Can I shave in between wax appointments?
This is really not recommended. Shaving in between can cause ingrown hairs, change your hair growth pattern, and cause your wax to not last as long
Lash Extensions
-
How frequently do I need to get my lashes filled?
Your lashes should be filled in anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks.

-
What is the difference between the different lash sets?
Classic is one thicker false lash glued to one real lash. Volume is multiple thinner lashes fanned out, glued to one real lash. Hybrid is a combo of the two, alternating between fans and classic extensions.

-
How long does it take for a full set?
For Classic, about 2 hours. Hybrid, about 2.5 hours. Volume, about 3 hours.

-
Can I get the lashes wet within the first 24 hours?
Yes! I use a UV lash system which allows you to be able to get them wet instantly.

-
What's the difference between UV lash system and the regular lash system?
The UV lash system utilizes UV light to instantly cure the UV lash glue. I prefer this system for a few reasons. You're able to get the lashes wet instantly afterwards, no more waiting 24 hours. The glues are formulated without carbon black, the most common ingredient found in lash glues that cause irritation. The UV glue has a lot less fumes than a traditional lash glue. And for me, I work quicker! Meaning more lash coverage in a shorter time frame.

-
Can I get lash extensions while pregnant?
Yes, but potentially no. You would want to first check with your doctor, they will be up to date on your current medical history to see if that is a safe choice for you. A patch test is recommended to make sure you won't have any reactions. Not recommended if it's your first time. And consider the duration on the bed ( up to 3 hours ).

-
What is the after care?
You should refrain from picking at your lashes. This includes pulling on them, whether it's pulling them out, or just a light tug. Don't roll your lashes either. Use lash shampoo on them twice a day to keep the area clean. Sleep on your back if you can, it will help with lash retention.

-
What if I wait longer than 2-3 weeks in-between appointments?
This is really not recommended. To ensure we have time to give you the service you deserve, it would then be considered a full set. This is because you would have less than 50% of your lash extensions remaining while also having outgrown lashes that need to be taken off, leaving less than 25% lashes remaining.
